scor
In the aftermath of the Aurora shootinghttp://www.wggb.com/2012/07/24/surge-in-colorado-gun-sales/ Amerika lebt halt etwas anders. Da wird nicht nach Verboten für Waffen geschrien, da diese ja PÖSE SIND, sondern die leute bewaffnen sich einfach selbst. Dort gibt es noch in 49? Staaten das Recht eine Waffe offen zu tragen. Flintenweib
This is just a logic reaction of a free nation. Buy more guns to protect yourself and other. In Germany - oh no, throw all your guns away so this won't happen again... Just by the way, in the gun store I work, the massacre was no topic at all. Nobody made a connection regarding guns. Here he is just a weirdo who could also have used a car to crash into a crowded bus station or something.
chokee
A foreseeable reaction in the US. Buy NOW, while you still can. The USA, unlike European Nations has a history of banning SALES of newly produced guns that are affected by a ban, but if you had it before the cut-off date, it´s being "grandfathered" in and you can legally keep it. To take a previously legally owned gun away would be a direct violation of the 4th amendment, which is a safeguard against unreasonable (search &) seizure of "any person, a persons home or personal property) US Citizens are afraid of a renewed AWB, and rightfully so. So they buy more stuff right now while the getting is still good. Aside from the Batman Incident, there´s also the imminent threat of having to choose between Obama and Obama light in the next election (this fall). Both of which where in faour of gun control in the past. So it´s only prudent for several reasons to stock up on guns in 2012 if you´re living in the USA. JuergenG
Guess why the U.S. firearms manufacturers are booking record sales (again)? It's election year and, as you rightfully stated, the choice is between plague and cholera.

EJER Fuchs
US Citizens are afraid of a renewed AWB, and rightfully so. So they buy more stuff right now while the getting is still good. Typical behavior in recent election years and, of course, the feeding frenzy after the Clinton ban was enacted. With this latest shooting, the fear of a post-reelection anti-gun legislation has pushed purchases to another surge. As ammo (properly stored) does not go bad and guns tend to hold value (although purchasing during panics isn't conducive to bargains), there is little downside to stocking up while one can. tar
Obama's recent message in New Orleans speech: "AK47s belong in the hands of soldiers... "
EJER Fuchs
Note that the speech was given in New Orleans - where the cops shot refugees during Katrina, where the cops and National Guard disarmed - and thus rendered helpless - citizens (including several of them wrestling a little revolver from an old woman) and where the police themselves are often the criminals. Yeah, the Big Easy is the poster city for Obama's proposed peace and enlightenment.......
JuergenG
Haven't at least 3 cops booked a long stay vacation in Club Fed in the aftermath, for shooting someone and covering up?

Translation: The simple life in America is different. The public doesn't call for stronger gun laws. Instead of crying for "stronger gun laws" they just go and buy guns for self defence. There are still 49? states where you can concealed or open-carry your gun. Correct me if I'm wrong.
EJER Fuchs
Haven't at least 3 cops booked a long stay vacation in Club Fed in the aftermath, for shooting someone and covering up? Yes. Probably just the tip of the Katrina cop fuster-cluck.
