JuergenG Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-action/sena...control-measure Democratic senators have offered an amendment to the cybersecurity bill that would limit the purchase of high capacity gun magazines for some consumers.Shortly after the Cybersecurity Act gained Senate approval to proceed to filing proposed amendments and a vote next week, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), a sponsor of the gun control amendment, came to the floor to defend the idea of implementing some “reasonable” gun control measures. BTW, same backdoor tactics as used with the last amendments to the German firearms law which were attached to an amendment of the Explosives law back in July of 2009.
EJER Fuchs Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Even more gutless and insidious. There is a bare similarity between explosives and sporting propellants, although the effort to conflate the two will make it easier to further impede sport shooters in the future. There is NO connection whatsoever between "cyber security" and firearms. This is more disingenuous posturing from Schumer, a known source of anti-gun antics.
