I can recall the situation in the 80ies when our Battalion had 10.000 tracer rounds on stock with running out expiration date. I planned a training session at the Daaden range .. with 5 Zwisola with mounted MG3 firing on ground targets. Terrific show, even at daylight when you hit a tank hull. It took as 3 ours to expend the ammo and another 3 hours to stop the wildfires on the heath.

Interesting to see that the US boys have those Zwisola ( Zwillingssockellafette) just for fun.
