saul Posted December 27, 2003 Share Posted December 27, 2003 Hi Peter, Yes, I certainly do use a thumb rest on my open guns and on my standard guns. I believe it is a super good way to control muzzle lift. But - we warned: It will allow you to apply a lot of pressure on the front end of the gun - and this may not work in your favor if you have a "flinch" on the trigger pull. But it is worth trying.
