Hello to all, I got my Jagdschein two weeks ago after I succesfully completed the NRW Jägerprufung. I am now in the process of buying a firearm safe. I am however having difficulty figuring out some of the requiremens for weapon storage. Is it neccessary for the safe to be secured to the floor or the wall? Or is it fine if it just stands in a corner somewhere? We are currently living in a rented appartment and the owner is not keen on my drilling holes in the floor or wall. If it is a legal requirement, then I will have to make another plan.

Guten Tag! Es ist mehr als ein Jahr seit meine letzten Besuch an Waffen-Online. Die ist meine erste Thema in die Deutschsprache. Ich hoffe das euch mich versthen. Ich habe jetzt zwei Fragen über die Deutsche Waffenrecht. Ich hat ander Themas durch gelesen um Antworten zu bekommen, aber ich hat keine Glück um etwas zu finden. Ich brauche eure Kenntniss und Geduld. Ich hoffe um in Januar mit die Jagdkurs in Kreis Borken anzufangen, und auch später in 2015 mit IPSC anzufangen. Die Fragen: 1. Wo könnte ich mehr Inforationen finden über Ausländers und die Weg nach Waffenbesitz für Jagd und Sportschießen? 2. Darf ich ein Kurzwaffen was ich für Jagd haben auch benutzen für IPSC? z.B. Wann ich eine Grand Power K100 (GP) kaufen für Jagd, darf ich auch IPSC schießen mit die GP oder muss ich ein ander Pistolle kaufen für IPSC? Danke!

Hi to all. So I did a couple of internet searches concerning hunting in Germany and found a wealth of information. Some of it was very useful, but still I don't quite get how hunting works in Germany. If I missed this topic in my searches on the forum, I would be very greatful if you can direct me to it. I understand that hunting and hunters are seen as part of the conservation effort and that before I can begin to hunt I have to do the required courses in order to obtain a hunting licence and also be able to buy a hunting rifle. From Google I understand that this process alone is very difficult, time consuming and expensive. I also understand that there is a lot of tradition involved with hunting. When I eventually pass the course and get the hunting license in the next couple of years, how do I go about participating in a hunt and what can I expect with regards to cost? Do you pay trophy fees if the animal's horns are bigger/weighs more? Does all hunting occur from stands or is stalking also allowed (practical?)? Do you get to keep the meat? Does hunting always occur in groups? Thank you in advance T
