Import aus der Schweiz

Hallo,

I will write in English since my German is still not the best. I'm an american living in Switzerland. I've been offered a job in Germany and I'm considering taking it. I brought three k98s and a P38 pistol (only for collection purposes) when I moved from America and I would love to be able to take them with me.

What would I need to do to move them with the rest of my household into Germany? Since they will be with all my furniture and Im moving my address, I'm not quite sure its the same as somebody importing into Germany from a seller abroad.

Any info would be highly appreciated. Many thanks.

Hello Andreas, difficult to answer your question right now. Gun ownership is not a common right in germany and therefore you will need a permission to bring your guns to our country. I cannot tell you how to do this legally and quick, but i will ask a Person who must/may know it an i will try to answer you on monday afternoon.
